More from this special round of black cherry wood. This was designed to cook with, but it also doubles as a perfect serving spoon. The flat blade is great for scraping stuck food, or sneaking underneath it. I also use it to scrub the pan when I’m cleaning them. As your eyes follow the up the handle, it gets darker and darker as this is the transition into the sapwood. When cherry starts to decompose the pale white wood starts to grow a really rich and almost aged look.
