I don’t get black walnut very often. I’ve been saving this log in the back of my shop for a couple of years for just the right time. It’s so smooth and when you hold the wood up close in really good light you can see a glitter in the pores of the wood. Sometimes the grain looks purple, other times dark chocolate which is one of the reasons I love black walnut.
