Black cherry has always been a favorite of mine it’s warm tones only get warmer with use. Rich red heartwood and an antique white sapwood on the handle really adds contrast.
This cup was an improvised form as I needed a break from my usual designs. One of a kind, that may end up potentially marking a new era in cup exploration for me.
This cup feels so good in the hand, confident, but also an extension of your arm. I can only imagine how great the patina is going to look when this one has been well loved on and seen a good share of dirt time.
