I carved this cup a while ago from a large white birch log. I’ve been wanting to tinker around more with hearts on the insides of bowls, and let me tell ya, it’s a real chore to keep that internal keel intact and neat the whole way down. Tricky navigating, but so gorgeous.
It really was meant to be a showpiece as some parts weren’t as finished as I usually like, and it’s been bumped and burnished around in a basket of woodenware for a year or two. It’s proper character and I wouldn’t change anything about it.
It’s a really big cup, not for the tiny pawed folks that aren’t lookin’ to quench a big thirst.
Holds just over 15oz!
