I carved this two headed vessel a while back. It might as well have been carved in granite. Maple can be hard to persuade sometimes.

I’ve always been fascinated with leading lines and how facets are like mountain peaks. The divi

I’ve never gotten bored once carving these cups and it’s been probably over fifteen years now
It’s been a great couple of days. I drove a couple hours north for a private two day intensive workshop - ala Home Call Sloyd. I bring the workshop to you like the old house doctors.

I like the start of a new year. I’ve been sketching new ideas and forms. Textures and interesting way to incorporate facets. As much as carvers want to please the eyes, I’m usuall
Winter light and a lot of irons in the fire. Hard to believe my trip to Sweden is coming up so fast and so much to do to prepare. This week I plan to get in the almost finished woodshop to start a new fleet of cups.
